The Plant Bar was established in September 2018 by husband and wife team David & Krystal Carman. David has been in the plant industry for over the past 20 years. While in school he had to learn the names of plants. The best way to do that was to visit plant nurseries. Something that he noticed was that almost all of the nurseries were big and sprawling with very little staff to get assistance from. He believed going to these places to shop for plants might seem intimidating to someone who might not know a lot about plants. That is when David decided he was going to create a small space where people could come and learn about plants, ask questions, and plant with our staff at any time. 

In October 2018 David and Krystal decided to start hosting popup planting experiences all over North Phoenix, Arizona. Due to their success they were able to open up their first location in March of 2019. Unfortunately in 2020 Covid had some other plans so they had to take a break for a bit before finally launching their second store in Honolulu, Hawaii. As of 2024 they are very excited to officially launch their online plant store offering shipping to the contiguous United States (48 states). 

They are working to get many more stores open across the US as well so that customers can come enjoy that hands-on personal experience that David has always envisioned for the Plant Bar. Stay tuned for when the next location opens!
